Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS) The DOAS instrument records spectra of scattered skylight from three different directions. The absorption structures within the recorded spectra yield information on the concentration and distribution of various trace gases such as ozone, NO2 or BrO. The instrument is supervised by Institut für Umweltphysik, Heidelberg, Germany
