Oxygen Analyzer (O2)

The Oxygen Analyser O2 is measuring O2 as well as CO2. The main part of O2 consists of 4 galvanic cells, which use the electrochemical properties of oxygen to measure oxygen concentration in air samples, and a CO2 air samples analyzer based on the difference between absorption of infrared radiation passing trough two gas sampling cells. Measurements are performed during the flight sampling and controlling air flux by a pump system and fine pressure controller.
The instrument is supervised by Physics Institute, University of Bern, Climate and Environmental Physics, Bern, Switzerland.
