2nd CARIBIC Volcanic Cloud Fact finding Flight

First Results:

Mainz, 16.05.2010 Sunday 16th of May another cloud fact finding flight - this time to Ireland - was performed.
This flight was requested by Lufthansa to get more information for ash cloud forecast development in view of high VA (Volcanic Ash) concentrations over Ireland and Great Britain, which was considered to threaten the airspace over part of Western Europe on Mo-Tu. When the plane reached the targeted airspace, indeed Dublin was closed down already.
